Vic Dickenson (1906–1984) was an American jazz trombonist celebrated for his warm, lyrical tone and witty, swinging style. A fixture of mainstream jazz and Dixieland, he worked alongside Count Basie, Lester Young, and Eddie Condon, and was renowned for his relaxed phrasing and melodic inventiveness.
