Altered Images were a Scottish post-punk band formed in Glasgow in 1979, fronted by the distinctive high-pitched vocals of Clare Grogan. They blended new wave, post-punk, and pop sensibilities, scoring UK hits with "Happy Birthday" and "I Could Be Happy" in the early 1980s.
