About Arya

ARYA is a Northern NSW based DJ, curator and founder of Straynge Events, building momentum across Australia and beyond. Behind the decks, she is known for dark, progressive and hypnotic journeys, delivered with an extra delicious push. Driven by a deep passion for underground culture, community and immersive dancefloor experiences, Arya has spent the past few years not only refining her sound, but also channeling her energy into creating transformative events within the Northern Rivers scene. Through Straynge Events, she has cultivated spaces that celebrate connection, expression and cutting-edge psychedelic music, bringing together artists, dancers and dreamers alike. With an innate tendency to gravitate toward the dancefloor, Arya’s journey into the world of DJing & audio production began in 2015, immersing herself in the Australian underground music scene while studying at SAE Institute in Byron Bay. Her passion for psychedelic culture quickly led to performances on big dance floors around the globe, including Mo:Dem, Bucht der Träumer, Earth Frequency, Esoteric, Dragon Dreaming, Splendour in the Grass, Wild Horses, Antigravity, Twisted Frequency & more. Arya’s sound is a dynamic blend of dark, light, hypnotic & playful. Her sets oscillate between lushly groovy contrasts & heavier, driving impacts, creating a visceral adventure that unfolds seamlessly from day to night. Each performance is a masterful modulation of energy, flowing with the dancefloor’s pulse while offering an immersive experience within the dark-psychedelic realm. Inspired by her first trance festival in 2014, where the synergy of sound & community ignited her passion for creating transformative experiences for others, Arya continues to weave musical magic through her performances, dedicated to exploring & pushing the boundaries of trance music.
