Foreigner is an English-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976, known for melodic hard rock and power ballads. Fronted originally by Lou Gramm and guitarist Mick Jones, they achieved massive success with hits like "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "Cold as Ice."
