Horsegirl is a Chicago-based indie rock trio formed by Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece. Emerging in the early 2020s, they blend lo-fi guitar jangle, post-punk textures, and dreamy noise-pop, drawing heavily from 1980s and 90s college rock. Their 2022 debut album "Versions of Modern Performance" was released on Matador Records.
