About Komorebi
Komorebi is the project of Australian producer Tyrone Howell, based in Cairns/Kuranda (Buluwai/Djabugay Country), Far North Queensland. Drawing inspiration from nature’s rhythms and the spirit of the land, his music blends deep progressive grooves, psychedelic textures, and organic atmospheres. With releases on both Zenon Records and Weapon Records, Komorebi has established himself as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices in psychedelic music. His performances at gatherings such as Dragon Dreaming Festival and Esoteric Festival have captivated audiences, delivering hard-hitting basslines intertwined with lush rainforest soundscapes. His name, meaning “sunlight filtering through trees” in Japanese, reflects his mission: to channel the beauty and mystery of the natural world into a powerful, transformative dancefloor experience. With roots firmly planted in the rainforest and eyes on global horizons, Komorebi continues to evolve his craft - carrying the essence of the Australian bush into every beat.
