Korn is an American band formed in Bakersfield, California in 1993, widely credited as pioneers of nu metal. Known for down-tuned guitars, aggressive rhythms, and Jonathan Davis's emotionally raw vocals, their self-titled debut helped launch the genre in the mid-1990s.
