Los Mirlos are a pioneering Peruvian group from Moyobamba, formed in 1973, widely credited with creating "chicha" music — a hypnotic fusion of Colombian cumbia, Amazonian rhythms, and psychedelic electric guitar. Their swirling, reverb-drenched sound became foundational to the Peruvian tropical underground.
