About The Skatalites
The Skatalites are a foundational Jamaican ska band formed in Kingston in 1964, widely regarded as the originators of the ska genre. Their instrumental-driven sound blends jazz, R&B, and Caribbean rhythms, featuring prominent horn sections and upbeat offbeat guitar. They backed numerous vocal artists and profoundly influenced reggae and rocksteady.
