About the festival
Since 1987, HJF has organized a diverse range of musical and educational activities, including the annual Halifax Jazz Festival. TD Halifax Jazz Festival is July 7-12, 2026 — the oldest jazz festival and largest summer festival in Atlantic Canada.

Hilmar HilmarssonAmbientHilmar Örn Hilmarsson is an Icelandic composer and musician known for his atmospheric, experimental soundscapes. He has composed extensively for film and theatre, often blending orchestral elements with ambient textures. He is also the current High Priest of the Ásatrúarfélagið, Iceland's Norse pagan society.
