Wolves in the Throne Room are an American atmospheric black metal band from Olympia, Washington, formed in 2003 by brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver. Their music blends cascadian black metal with dense, layered guitar textures, nature-influenced themes, and hypnotic, ritualistic song structures. They are considered pioneers of the Cascadian black metal subgenre.
