Carcass are a British extreme metal band formed in Liverpool in 1985, pioneers of goregrind and melodic death metal. Known for their visceral early grindcore releases and the landmark melodic death metal album Heartwork (1993), they blend technical riffing, dual vocals, and medical/anatomical lyrical themes.
