About City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band

Now over 125 years old, the City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band has been a popular fixture at Meredith since 2005. The band traditionally marches through the campsite before taking to the stage for a set of classic hits and sing-along tunes. With a steady membership of around 30 musicians, the band took first place in their grade at the 2013 Victorian Brass Band Championships. Its origins trace back to a band formed in Ballarat by Thomas Bulch in 1885, later renamed The Ballarat City Brass Band in 1900.
